There are four new positive cases today and 28 negative results. This large amount of return is the result of two days of testing earlier this week, and was received a little later due to lab delays. Additionally, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has identified another outbreak site in Montrose County: Prairie Dog Treats Company in Montrose. At this time, there are three cases involving Montrose County residents at that location.
Yesterday, the county released phase one of the Safer at Home guidance for Montrose County (2020 Safer at Home Montrose County DRAFT). This guidance is based on the information provided from the governor’s office and is intended to provide framework for the transition from Stay at Home to Safer at Home. At this time, the state executive order and state public health order are expected to be released on Sunday and Monday; the county’s Safer at Home guidance may change as a result of that information. The county has also released the Montrose County Public Health Business Entrance Check that provides guidance for health screening for employers.
