TODAY’S UPDATE
Today, we sadly report another COVID-19 related death of a 97-year-old male; the individual had several underlying medical issues. As the labs are working to get caught up, six additional cases have been reported today. Please note that these results are from tests performed over the last week, and not representative of just a single day of testing. Yesterday, Montrose County Public Health issued a public health order banning burning in the unincorporated areas of the county (to exclude federally managed public lands) beginning Sunday, April 12 at 12:01 a.m. The burn ban is critical to public health and well-being during this pandemic; read more here. Please recreate responsibly within your area and be aware of the public health orders of adjoining counties, as well as any fire restrictions as well. Visit westslopefireinfo.com for more information regarding fire restrictions and know before you go. If you have an emergency, please contact 911. As a friendly reminder, if you are sick, please STAY HOME and quarantine—call your doctor if you have COVID-19 symptoms. Lastly, we wish every a very Happy Easter and safe Sunday!
