6/30/20 COVID-19 Update

Today’s Data Notes

Public Health reports six positive confirmed case (PCR) since Thursday. As a reminder, today Public Health is transitioning from bi-weekly reports to weekly reports. The weekly report will be published on Tuesdays. If a surge occurs, reporting frequency will increase.

The county received notification that the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment partially approved the second data-driven variance application. However, Montrose County is currently seeking clarification from the state. As soon as further information and specific guidelines are available from the state in regards to the second variance, the information will be promptly shared with the public.

Masks/Face Coverings

It appears that mask or face covering use has decreased by the overall public. Montrose County Public Health is encouraging the public to wear a mask when social distance is not possible in public places. Mask wearing has helped significantly decrease the spread of the virus so far. Please continue to do your part to help limit the spread of COVID-19 in Montrose County.
